Siena, our founder, comes from a family of educators and biologists. What better way could she put these two family passions to use than by creating a way to bring youngsters a learning experience like no other? Near the end of 2016, Siena proposed her crazy idea of a mobile educational reptile show to her family who were a bit hesitant but ultimately supportive. With the help of a handful of incredible animal handlers and family members, Schoolhouse Reptiles began to grow. We spent the next years offering many different types of encounters with a wide range of critters but toward the end of 2021, came back to our roots and are back to offering Louisiana's coolest, most fun and interesting exotic reptile encounters for educational facilities. Our high paced, interactive and fun talks include a ton of fascinating facts and info for kids and adults to learn all about lizards, snakes and tortoises from around the globe. Students and attendees also get a chance to see up-close and pet some of our beautiful reptile ambassadors during or following our presentations! The encounters are great for kids from ages 3 up to 103!
